Benefits Administration

Alameda County Office of Education (ACOE) employees belong to the CalPERS Medical Program. Open Enrollment is held during the month of September.

Employees in the California School Employees Association (CSEA) receive a monthly stipend of $567, in addition to their published salaries, to help offset the cost of medical benefits. All other employees pay their own medical plan costs.

ACOE employees also receive a life insurance policy through The Standard Insurance Company. For information regarding benefits you can call 1-800-522-0406 or The Standard.

Dental and Life Insurance premiums are paid by for by the County Office for employees in CSEA. All other employees pay for these benefits out of their salaries.
