Region IV / SPAN After School Programs

The Region 4/SPAN Afterschool Programs Office is supported by a grant from the California Department of Education to provide training and technical assistance to programs funded by the state After School Education and Safety Program (ASES) and 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) within the seven Bay Area counties.

We work with grantees at both the district and the site levels, and at every stage of program development from planning to implementation and sustainability. We coordinate technical assistance services and resources that are available in Region 4 in association with several other entities. We also provide training and services to districts, school sites, and practitioners.
