The Alameda County Board of Education will be holding its Annual Reorganization meeting on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. The public is welcome to join the Swearing in Ceremony and Election of Officers for the 2010-2011 fiscal year. The meeting will be held at Alameda County Office of Education, Room 142, 313 West Winton Avenue, Hayward CA 94544.
Trustees being sworn in are re-elected Trustees Yvonne Cerrato and Felix Elizalde, and newly elected Trustee Joaquin J. Rivera representing Area 1 -- Albany, Berkeley, Emeryville, Piedmont, and portions of Oakland that include North Oakland and Chinatown/Central.
The Board will call for nominations for President and Vice President for the 2010-2011 fiscal year and elect a President and Vice President during the meeting and adopt their meeting schedule for the 2010-2011 fiscal year. The board will also honor outgoing President Jacki Fox Ruby who has served as Trustee for Area 1 for eight years.
