Integrating Technology for English Language Learners (iTELL) in Alameda County is a 3-day program designed to prepare teachers to implement research-based strategies that integrate technology in their classrooms. These strategies have been shown to improve teaching and enhance learning for EL students. During this three-day training, participants will create technology-enhanced products that can immediately be used in the classroom. The products will include: a collection of images and online resources to support a unit or lesson; a graphic content dictionary to academic vocabulary acquisition; and a PhotoStory™ slideshow narrative.

ACOE Partnership:

iTELL was originally developed by CTAP Region 10 RIMS. It continiues to grow and develop through collaboration with other CTAP Regions and Instructional Technology Leadership groups. Through the encouragement of past participants in the iTELL Trainer of Trainers from Alameda County, was conducted on March 23 and 24 by the Technology for Learning Partnership (Region 5).  Check with your district to see if the training for teachers and administrators will be held locally.

Send us an email with your interest to participate and we will notify you of upcoming opportunities.
